Get in Touch With Official Cedar County Offices

Cedar County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a public office. We cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or obtain an official booking file. For those matters, contact the government office that maintains the record.

Official Contacts for Cedar County Records and Custody

Start with the agency connected to the event. Cedar County has no verified public online jail roster, booking feed, or sheriff mobile app. The contacts below are official routes, not a promise that a particular record or photograph will be released.

Cedar County Sheriff and Jail Records

Cedar County Sheriff's Office
101 S Broadway
PO Box 415
Hartington, NE 68739
Phone and 24/7 dispatch: 402-254-6884
Email: cedarso@cedarcountyne.gov
Administrative hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, open through lunch; closed weekends and holidays.

Ask for the records custodian when requesting an existing booking sheet, jail register entry, charge information, bond or hold information, release or transfer entry, or booking photograph. Cedar County's current sheriff page does not publish a separate records line or booking-photo form. For an emergency, call 911. The sheriff number is also the published dispatch number, but dispatch is not a substitute for a written public-record request.

Municipal Arrest Reports

A city police agency may hold the incident or arrest report while the sheriff holds a later jail booking record. Send separate requests when both records are needed.

Laurel Police Department
101 E 2nd St
PO Box 248
Laurel, NE 68745
Phone: 402-256-3211
Email: laurelpd@laurelne.com

Randolph Police Department
212 E Broadway St
Randolph, NE 68771
Phone: 402-337-0411
Email: citypolice@randolphne.com

Laurel's official site has a second business listing with conflicting contact details, and Randolph's city pages differ on staff names. Use the official public-safety pages above as the research starting point and call before visiting or sending a detailed request.

Court Records and Case Outcomes

Cedar County Court
PO Box 695
Hartington, NE 68739
Phone: 402-254-7441
Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

For a complaint, docket, order, or disposition, use the court clerk or Nebraska's official JUSTICE case-information service. A court file is different from a sheriff booking file. A booking charge is an accusation and may later be reduced, dismissed, or resolved in another way.

Other Custody Systems

Public-Record Requests

The Cedar County public-records page is general information, not a dedicated jail-record portal. Under Nebraska Revised Statute 84-712, an agency generally responds within four business days after receipt, excluding the day received, weekends, and days the office is closed. The response may provide records, deny access in writing, or give a written delay and cost estimate. No sheriff-specific booking-photo fee schedule was verified, so ask for an estimate before work that may create a charge.

For a records request, provide the person's full name, approximate arrest or booking date, arresting agency, and a clear description of the existing records sought. If a denial or redaction occurs, request the legal basis and any separable non-exempt portion. The Nebraska Attorney General's public-records information explains the statewide process.
